The Fürstenberg family has owned large woodlands since the beginning of the 14th century. The Fürstenberg Woodworking Enterprise was founded in 1920 for economic exploitation of timber. Since then, it has belonged to the House of Furstenberg group of companies. It started as a sawmill, and has evolved into a leading wood processing company.
Today, about 50 employees at the company locations in Hüfingen (D) and Sobeslav (CZ) are developing and manufacturing wooden poles and posts, wooden sleepers, and noise protection systems. Our customers include leading companies from the energy supply, telecommunications, and rail transport sectors, and contractors in the public and private sectors.
